“GOD’S GRACE AND SALVATION IS TO ALL OF THOSE

WHO WOULD BELIEVE.”

SALVATION

HOW TO RECEIVE THE SALVATION OF GOD

Salvation is a free gift of God's divine grace. However, the salvation of God which can only come through Jesus Christ must be received by faith in Jesus Name. The candidate seeking salvation must understand one cannot make up for their sins by self-improvement or good works. Salvation begins with faith in Christ and repentance from sin and a self-ruled life. -- John 3:3-7, Mark 16:15-18, Acts 2:1-4; 4:12; 2:28; 10:45-46; 19:6, Romans 10:9,10, Ephesians 2:8-9

STEP 1 - REPENTANCE

Repentance is the first step in receiving the Holy Spirit. Repentance means to have a change of heart and mind from sin and a self-ruled life. Repentance is never effective when it's just lip - service. It must be a heart decision to leave the former life in order to walk with Christ. Serving Christ is more than just saying words, but requires action behind the words we speak. Talk is cheap! Repentance from the heart should accompany one's faith in Christ and water baptism. John the Baptist preached repentance. Jesus proclaimed it and commanded that repentance and remission of sins be preached in "His name" among all nations. Mark 16:16, Luke 24:47, Acts 2:38; 4:12, II Corinthians 7:10

STEP 2 - CONFESS JESUS CHRIST AS THE LORD AND SAVIOUR OF YOUR LIFE

“Dear Jesus, Thank you for dying for me and loving me. I realize that I need you in my life, and I’m sorry for my sins. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that you are the Son of God and that You died on the cross for my sins. I confess with my mouth and believe in my heart that God raised Jesus from the dead. Please come into my heart and my life and make me a new person on the inside. I accept your gift of salvation. Today I make the decision to live for you and serve you. I turn away from the world; I turn away from pleasing my flesh; and I turn away from the devil. I want to follow you from now on. Please help me to grow now as a Christian.” In Jesus’ Name, Amen” Romans 10:13 - “Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.”Acts 2:38 - "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (v.39) For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call."

STEP 3 - BAPTISM BY IMMERSION IN WATER

Water baptism doesn’t make you a believer—it shows that you have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His Word. Water baptism alone cannot “save” you; it is faith in Jesus Christ and obedience to His word that saves you. Baptism is like a wedding ring—it’s the outward symbol of the commitment you made in your heart toward Christ and His Word. Every Believer in Christ must be in obedience to the Word of God concerning waters of baptism in Jesus Name and receiving the Holy Spirit. Water baptism is a public declaration of your new birth and faith in the finished work of Christ! Water baptism is for all who have believed on the Lord Jesus Christ and have made Jesus Christ their personal Lord and Savior. Matthew 28:19 , Acts 2:38; 4:12; 8:16; 10:48; 19:5, Romans 6:1-7, Col. 3:17, I Peter 3:20-21.
